At Crosslake Veterinary Hospital, we truly believe that regular examinations are vital to your pet’s overall health. It allows our veterinarians to evaluate your pet’s well-being, while learning more about both you and your pets.
During this wellness exam, your pet’s specific vaccination and preventative health history is evaluated to ensure your pet is up to date on vaccinations and other routine care that is important for good health, such as effective, quality tick control and heartworm prevention. A full comprehensive examination of your pet is performed by one of our veterinarians, where we look for signs of joint disease, heart conditions, skin tumors, as well as age-related changes to vision or hearing, among other things. We take the time to answer any and all questions you may have regarding your pet as well as ask you specific questions to screen for problems that may not be evident by the physical exam. Preventive health lab work screens of your pet’s blood, urine and stool are offered at the annual wellness visit to complete the picture of your pet’s overall health.
Our hope with routine examinations is that we can catch potential problems before they become serious health concerns.
Please contact us today at (218) 692-4400 to schedule an annual examination for your pets, or if you have any questions or concerns about your pet’s health.
