Dr. Caitlin Kemp grew up in a suburb outside of the Twin Cities but many of her favorite memories were made at her grandparent’s cabin on Pelican Lake where she would spend almost every weekend in the summers.

She later attended the University of Minnesota, Morris for her undergraduate coursework before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. After spending as much time as possible in the Crosslake area and at Crosslake Veterinary Hospital throughout her studies, Dr. Kemp knew this is where she wanted to practice veterinary medicine long term and was thrilled to be able to join the CVH team as their fourth doctor. Dr. Kemp really enjoys the variety that general practice offers and the ability to help her patients and clients throughout the entirety of her patient’s lives regardless of what health challenges they may face.

In her free time, Dr. Kemp enjoys horseback riding, traveling to other countries (she has been to 10 so far), hiking, and spending time on the lake with her friends and family which includes two dogs (Ellie and Liv), a cat (Torti), and four chickens.
